The XIII International Festival for Music and Dance “Abanico” will be held both online and live in Sofia from April 4 to 6, 2025. The competition is open to singers, dancers, musicians (pianists, guitarists, violinists, etc.) from all over the world, with participants having the option to join either live or online. The festival’s main objective is to foster communication and connections between people through the universal language of art.
Musicians: Guitar, piano, violin, flute, cello, woodwinds, brass, and more.
Choirs, Vocal Groups, and Soloists
Dance Ensembles and Soloists: Classical, modern ballet, Latin dance, folklore, acrobatic rock’n’roll (all must perform with Spanish, French, Italian, Romanian, or Portuguese/Brazilian music).
April 5: Instrumental and Classical
April 6-7: Singing and Dance (for all age categories).
Award Ceremony: April 7, 2025 (afternoon).
Song/Dance Duration: No more than 4 minutes for live performances (no time limit for online participation).
Music Selection: Performances must be in Spanish or any Romance language (French, Italian, Portuguese, Romanian). Other languages may be accepted.
Backing Tracks: All songs must be performed with backing tracks or live instruments (inform organizers in advance for live instruments).
Rehearsals: Each contestant will receive 1 minute for stage rehearsal.
First Category: Under 9
Second Category: 9-12 years
Third Category: 13-15 years
Fourth Category: 16-18 years
Fifth Category: 19+ years (no age limit)
Participants and accompanying persons can select from various accommodation packages offered by the festival’s partner hotels. Accommodation is mandatory for live participation.
Hotel Rila (3***):
Located in the heart of Sofia, just steps from the National Palace of Culture.
Price: 155 euros per person (for 4 days/3 nights, Bed & Breakfast in double/triple room).
Spa Hotel Dragalevtsi (4****):
Located 7 km from the National Palace of Culture, with free access to spa facilities and parking.
Price: 220 euros per person (for 4 days/3 nights, Bed & Breakfast).
Single room surcharge: 15 euros per day.
Additional night: 50 euros per day/BB.
Transfers: Transfers from hotel to stage.
Excursion: Excursion and sightseeing tour in Sofia.
Souvenirs: Souvenirs and gifts.
Dance Lesson: One free lesson of salsa or Bulgarian dance, and a party.
Support: Hostess support throughout the festival.
The festival will be held from April 4 to 6, 2025 in Sofia, Bulgaria, and will feature a diverse array of performances, including music, dance, and instrumental categories.
April 5: Instrumental and Classical performances
April 6-7: Singing and Dance performances for all age categories.
April 7: Award Ceremony (afternoon) and Gala Concert.
Trophies for the top 3 in each category.
Grand Prix “Abanico” (including Junior Grand Prix for younger contestants).

Certificate of participation, medals, and cups for all participants.
A one-hour free studio recording in Sofia for winners.
Sponsors may offer additional prizes and awards.
Soloists: 40 euros per category, 25 euros for additional categories.
Duets (2 persons): 40 euros
Small Ensembles (3-5 persons): 40 euros
Vocal/Dance Groups (6+ persons): 60 euros
Transfers from Sofia Airport to city center: 15 euros per person.
For groups arriving separately, transfers will be arranged at an additional cost.
50% of payment required by March 21, 2025 to confirm participation.
Participants will have the opportunity to explore the vibrant city of Sofia. A sightseeing excursion will be organized during the festival, providing a glimpse into the city’s rich history and culture.
