We warmly invite Folk Ensembles, Choral Groups, Ballroom Dance Teams, Art Schools, Modern Ballet, and Majorette Teams (for children, youth, and adults) to participate in the XXX International Dance & Music Festival “OHRID WINTER FESTIVAL,” taking place from February 20 to 23, 2025, in Ohrid, Macedonia.
The festival aims to present the cultural traditions of various countries and provides an opportunity for group members to come together, establish friendships, and showcase their cultures through dance and music.
Every group is welcome to participate, with no limit on participation categories (Children, Youth, Adult groups).
This is a non-competitive festival showcasing traditional and modern dances and music.
Participation is limited to three groups from each country.
Each group should consist of a maximum of 60 members, including dancers, managers, musicians, and family members.
Ensembles must prepare at least two folk dances, each 15 minutes long, with an orchestra or USB.
Choral groups should prepare a free program consisting of two parts, totaling 12 to 18 minutes (one performance a cappella in the old city churches and one performance on stage with sound equipment).
Performances will be held in the evenings, allowing time during the day for sightseeing and excursions.
Groups should send a short CV and photos, bring a flag of their country, and arrange their own transport for arrival and departure.

Personal responsibility and health insurance are obligations of the groups. First Aid and Medical Hospital will be available; medical services must be covered by the group.
On your request, You can continue your stay in Ohrid. Price for additional HB is 29 for HB – price is special for the participants in festivals that we can provide. For additional days we will prepare special program for you.
Insurance: Participants must arrange their own personal responsibility and health insurance. First Aid and medical services will be available, but medical expenses must be covered by the group. A tourist tax of 1 Euro per person per day is additional.
Festival Schedule:
Day 1: 13:00: Arrival in Ohrid and hotel accommodation. 19:00 – 20:00: Dinner at the hotel. 21:00: Welcome reception with group leaders.
Day 2: 08:00 – 10:00: Breakfast. 10:00 – 14:00: Ohrid sightseeing. 18:00 – 19:00: Dinner at the hotel. 19:00: Ensembles parade (Old Town). 20:00: Official opening of the festival – festival evening.
Day 3: 09:00 – 10:00: Breakfast. 11:00 – 15:30: Cruising on Ohrid Lake. 18:00 – 19:30: Dinner at the hotel. 20:00: Workshop (learning different dances) or optional Macedonian evening party.
Day 4: 09:00: Breakfast. 11:00: Departure of participants.
The festival program includes a variety of excursions to explore the rich history and culture of Ohrid:
Day 1: Arrival in Ohrid and hotel accommodation.
Day 2:
Sightseeing (10:00 – 14:00): Visits to the Ethno Museum, cultural monuments (St. Sofia Church, Samoil Fortress, Antique Theatre, Plaosnik-St. Kliment Church, St. Kaneo Church, Bridge of Wishes).
Day 3:
Cruise on Ohrid Lake (11:00 – 15:30): Visit to the Museum on Water and the famous St. Naum Monastery (cost: 12 Euros per person).
Participants will also have the opportunity to experience local culture through workshops or a traditional Macedonian evening party.
