ollowing the resounding success of our event in Budva, the WOFA journey of cultural unity continues! From August 20 to 31, the historic and sun-drenched coast of Pula, Croatia, will come alive with the vibrant energy of traditional music, dance, and costume for an unforgettable Folklore festival.
We are thrilled to welcome twelve distinguished groups from Poland, Romania, Slovakia, and Hungary, who will come together to share their rich cultural heritage in a spectacular event that celebrates a shared European spirit.
Against the stunning backdrop of Pula’s ancient Roman architecture and the sparkling Adriatic Sea, the festival will be a dynamic celebration of unity and cultural exchange, promising to create lasting memories for every performer and spectator.
Audiences will be captivated as each group performs with profound passion, showcasing the unique identity of their homeland through intricate folk dances, vibrant regional costumes, and soul-stirring traditional music. The performances, held in Pula’s charming open-air venues, historic amphitheatre, and central squares, will feature the spirited hora dances and haunting melodies of Romania, the powerful and graceful styles of Polish folklore, the lively csárdás and precise dances of Hungary, and the rich, rhythmic traditions of Slovakia, creating a mesmerizing tapestry of Central European heritage. The days and nights will be filled with enthusiastic applause as the performers share their incredible passion and history.
The festival will conclude with a joyful ceremony where every participant will receive a certificate and a gift. This will celebrate not only their magnificent performances but also the new, enduring friendships forged on the Croatian coast. As the final notes of music fade into the sea breeze, the ensembles will say their goodbyes, departing with strengthened bonds and a renewed belief in the unifying power of cultural tradition.
