We invite you to join us in the beautiful coastal city of Durrës, Albania. As the second largest city of Albania, Durrës is located on the central Albanian coast, about 33 km west of the capital Tirana. It is one of the most ancient and economically significant cities of Albania, home to the country’s main port, the Port of Durrës, which provides an important link to Western Europe with daily ferries to Italian port cities, notably Bari. The city boasts the largest amphitheatre in the Balkans, a first-century construction currently under consideration for UNESCO World Heritage status, along with the Durrës Ancient City Wall (Durrës Castle), the Durrës Archaeological Museum, the Royal Villa, and the Museum of History. The southern coastal stretch is renowned for its traditional mass beach tourism, attracting an estimated 800,000 tourists annually, while the northern coast is becoming an elite tourism destination with new beach resorts. Neighboring districts are known for producing good wine and a variety of foodstuffs. Together, these attractions create the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable cultural exchange during the festival.
