Participation Info

We invite folklore groups, choral groups, majorette teams, vocal groups, ballroom dance teams, and art schools to participate in the XII International Music & Dance Festival “DURRES SUNRISE” in Durres, Albania, from 06 – 11 October 2026.

Groups of all genders and ages (children, youth, adults) are welcome. The festival’s aim is to bring together diverse cultural traditions, promote friendship, and share music and dance with audiences in public spaces such as streets and squares.

General Rules:

  • Participation is limited to a maximum of 3 groups per country.

  • Each group consists of up to 70 members, including dancers, managers, musicians, and family members.

  • Folk ensembles must prepare at least 2 folk dances (10–15 minutes each) with live music or USB.

  • Choral groups should prepare a free program lasting around 15 minutes.

  • Bring national flag.

  • Submit brief CV and 5 group photos via email.

  • Groups arrange own transport to and from Durres.

  • By applying, groups agree to all festival conditions. Detailed information will be provided after confirmation of participation.

Accommodation Info

Accommodation at 5-star Hotel Bonita, featuring spa, gym, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, and private beach.

Participation Fee:

  • 144 EUR per person – 3 nights with two daily buffet meals.

  • 184 EUR per person – 4 nights with two daily buffet meals.

Additional Costs:

  • Double room surcharge: 10 EUR per person per night.

  • Single room surcharge: 25 EUR per person per night.

  • Tourist tax: 1 EUR per person per day.

Included by Organizers:

  • One free participant per 24 paying participants (24+1 free).

  • Souvenir and gift for each group.

  • Certificate of attendance.

  • Drinks during performances.

  • Free parking.

  • Full promotion through media, social media, and press releases.

Hotel Facilities:

  • Spa, gym, indoor pool, outdoor pool, private beach.

  • Buffet meals twice daily.

  • Extended stay possible at special rate of 46 EUR per night (with 2 meals per day), reserved for festival participants.

Participants are responsible for their own personal and health insurance. First aid and emergency services will be available on site, but medical expenses must be covered by the group.

  • Evening parade and opening festival performance on the main square (10–15 minutes per group)

  • Free day for beach or shopping

  • Dinner

  • Disco party

BERAT – UNESCO Full-Day Tour (15 guests required)

  • This full-day excursion takes you to the historic city of Berat, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its unique architecture of white Ottoman houses climbing up the hill to its castle. You will explore its ancient fortress, historic quarters, and immerse yourself in its rich cultural heritage.

KRUJA Half-Day Tour (15 guests required)

  • This tour explores the historic town of Kruja, the legendary fortress of national hero Skanderbeg, and its famous Ottoman-era bazaar. You will discover the heart of Albanian resistance and immerse yourself in traditional culture.

TIRANA & KRUJA Full-Day Tour (15 guests required)

  • This full-day tour combines the vibrant, modern energy of Tirana with the historic legacy of Kruja, home to Skanderbeg’s fortress. Experience the contrast between the capital’s colorful boulevards and the ancient citadel overlooking the landscape.

TIRANA Half-Day Tour (15 guests required)

  • Explore Albania’s vibrant capital, from its fascinating history at Skanderbeg Square to its unique blend of Ottoman, Italian, and communist-era architecture. Discover the city’s dynamic energy through its colorful buildings, bustling cafes, and rich cultural sites.

Divjakë-Karavasta National Park Full-Day Tour (15 guests required)

  • This full-day excursion takes you to the pristine wetlands of Divjakë-Karavasta National Park, home to the rare Dalmatian pelican. Explore its diverse ecosystems of lagoons, pine forests, and sandy dunes through peaceful walking and birdwatching.
