Participation Info

We invite you (folk ensembles, choral groups, brass bands, orchestras, modern dance groups, majorette teams), including children, youth, and adult groups, to participate in the XXIII International Music & Folk-Dance Festival “ISTRA SUMMER FEST”, held from 02 – 06 July 2026 in Pula-Rovinj-Rijeka, Croatia.

The festival’s theme is to present the cultural traditions of various countries while fostering friendships and cultural exchange through dance and music.

General Rules:

  • Groups must prepare a program of 12-15 minutes with USB or live orchestra.
  • Groups must bring their national flag.
  • Each country is limited to three groups with up to 60 participants (including musicians, dancers, leaders, and family members)
  • Groups must send a short CV and photos via email.
  • Groups should arrange their own transportation.
  • For groups arriving by plane, the festival committee can organize transfers at an additional cost.

Accommodation Information:

Participation fee: 

  • 169 Euros – 3 HB ( 3 nights with 2 meals per day – open buffet with drinks
  • 216 Euros – 4 HB ( 4 nights with 2 meals per day – open buffet with drinks
  • 263 Euros – 5 HB ( 5 nights with 2 meals per day – open buffet with drink

additional stay is 53 Euro per person per night

Double rooms additional 11 euro per person per day
Single room additional 30 euros per person per day

    • Hotel accommodation in 3* Tourist resort Duga Uvala  with 2 meals per day in standard rooms ( hotel has own beach and swimming pools) in triple rooms and quadruple rooms. Hotel Info

Festival organizers provide:

  • for 25 people – one free
  • Certificate for attendance
  • souvenir and gift for each group
  • drinks during the performance
  • Free parking in hotel
  • open and close swimming pools and beach
  • advertising of the festival (press release, social media promotion, posters and layers)

 INSURANCE: 

Personal responsibility and health insurance are within the other obligations of the groups. First Aid and Medical Hospital will be available, medical services must be covered by the group.

 Tourist tax and insurance is 1.6 euro per person per day and it is additionally paid.

Transportation: for all of the group who arrive by plane in Trst, we can arrange transport to Pula. (Paid Additionally)

Program Info

Day 1 

  • 14:00: Arrival, hotel check-in, and free time for relaxation or the beach.
  • 18:00 – 20:00: Dinner at the hotel.
  • 21:00: Meeting with the festival representative.

Day 2 

  • 07:00 – 10:00: Breakfast.
  • 10:00 – 15:00: Beach time or optional excursions.
  • 18:30 – 20:00: Dinner at the hotel.
  • 21:00: Festival evening performance.

Day 3 

  • 07:00 – 10:00: Breakfast.
  • 10:00 – 18:00: Beach time or optional excursions.
  • 18:00 – 20:00: Dinner at the hotel.
  • 21:00: Dance workshop featuring traditional dances.

Day 4 

  • 07:00 – 10:00: Breakfast.
  • 10:00 – 18:00: Beach time or optional excursions.
  • 18:00 – 20:00: Dinner at the hotel.
  • 21:00: Disco party at the hotel.

Day 5 

  • 07:00 – 10:00: Breakfast.
  • 12:00: Departure or continuation of stay for additional days.

  • Due to the exceptional location at the Trf Forum, stage is not allowed

Excursions Information

Boat Excursions

  1. Fishpicnic Cres Island

    • Departure: Rabac port (45 min drive from Duga Uvala).

    • Duration: Whole day (10 AM–5 PM).

    • Highlights:

      • Large boat (max 160 pax), 2 decks, bar, toilet.

      • Grilled fish lunch (meat/veggie option available), salad, bread, 0.5L wine/beer/juice.

      • Beach time at Dragozetići (Cres), music/animation on return, Cres town sightseeing.

    • Note: Bus transfer to Rabac not included.

  2. Panorama by Boat

    • Departure: Rabac port (45 min drive).

    • Duration: 2 hours.

    • Highlights: Scenic ride along Istrian Riviera & Kvarner Bay, views of Cres/Lošinj islands, hidden bays.

Sightseeing Tours

  1. Labin by Night

    • Location: Medieval town of Labin (30 min drive).

    • Highlights: Guided tour of old town, history/architecture stories, olive oil/wine/grappa tasting.

    • Note: Bus transfer not included; minimum 15 participants required.

  2. Pula

    • Location: Pula (30 min drive).

    • Highlights: Guided tour, Arena amphitheater, Roman/Austro-Hungarian monuments, street festivals (subject to availability).

    • Note: Entrance tickets and bus transfer not included; minimum 15 participants required.

  3. Rakalj Village

    • Location: Small Istrian village (15 min drive).

    • Highlights: Spectacular hill viewpoint, local heritage/culture presentation, optional traditional food tasting (extra cost).

    • Note: Bus transfer not included; minimum 15 participants required.

  4. Gems of Istria

    • Locations: Rovinj, Poreč, Motovun, Svetvinčenat, etc.

    • Highlights: Tailored guided tour of coastal/inland villages, museums, churches.

    • Note: Entrance tickets and bus transfer not included; minimum 15 participants required.


National Park & Special Tours

  1. Brijuni Croatian National Park

    • Departure: Fažana (45 min drive + boat transfer included).

    • Highlights: Stunning nature, archaeological sites, open-air zoo.

    • Note: Bus transfer to Fažana not included; discounts for kids/elderly.

  2. Other Options

    • Venice Boat Trip: Full day, higher cost.

    • Plitvice Lakes Trip: Full day, higher cost.
