Participation Information:

We are pleased to invite majorette teams and orchestras (children, youth, and adult groups) to participate in the II Majorettes & Orchestra Festival “Paralia March & Melody Festival” 2026, held in Paralia, Katerini, Greece. The festival’s primary goal is to present the cultural traditions of various countries and foster friendships through music and dance. The performances will take place on the main square in Paralia and at Olympic beach, bringing music closer to the public by performing in the streets and squares.

General Rules:

  • Non-Competitive Festival: The festival is non-competitive, with groups performing to showcase their cultural heritage.
  • Participant Limitations: Only 3 groups per country will be accepted.
  • Group Size: Each group should consist of no more than 85 members.
  • Performance Timing: Performances will be scheduled for the evening hours, leaving ample time for sightseeing and excursions during the day.
  • Required Materials: Each group should send a short CV and photos of the group, and bring a flag of their country.
  • Transportation: Groups must arrange their own transport for arrival and departure.
  • Insurance: Groups must have personal responsibility and health insurance. First aid services will be available, but medical services should be covered by the group.

Accommodation Information

Participants will be accommodated in hotels and apartments located on the beach, such as Yakhintos, Katerina, Xenia Zeus, Ifigenia, Despina, London, and Phenix, in full capacity and multiple rooms with private toilets.
Pricing:

  • 144 euros per person: half-board (HB) meals for 4 days/3 nights.
  • 164 euros per person: half-board (HB) meals for 5 days/4 nights.
  • 199 euros per person: half-board (HB) meals for 6 days/5 nights.
  • All double and single rooms are available upon request. Multiple-bed accommodations are assigned based on availability.
  • additional double rooms available at 12 EUR per person/day
  • additional single rooms available at 40 EUR per person/day

For drivers and leaders, there will be two double rooms provided.

Festival Organizers Provide:

  • One free spot for every 24 dancers.
  • Souvenirs and gifts for each group.
  • Certificates for attendance.
  • A welcome reception for leaders (with drinks).
  • Advertising of the festival through social media, newsletters, and posters.
  • Parking

Extended Stay Information

  • You can continue your stay in Paralia. Price will be 40 Euro per day per person HB – price is special for the participants in festivals that we can provide.

Insurance: Personal responsibility and health insurance are required. Medical services will be available and must be covered by the group.

Transportation: The festival will organize the transport for the groups coming by plane by picking them up from Thessaloniki  airport, during the festival days and back to the same  airport. (payed additional)

Program Information:

The festival program will offer a mix of performances, cultural exchanges, and leisure time to explore the beauty of Paralia.

Day 1:

  • 13:00: Arrival in Paralia, hotel accommodation, and free time (beach time)
  • 18:00 – 19:00: Dinner at the hotel
  • 21:00: Welcome reception with group leaders

Day 2:

  • 07:00 – 08:30: Breakfast
  • 11:00 – 17:00: Free time (beach or optional visits to Thessalonica/Katerini)
  • 18:00 – 19:00: Dinner at the hotel
  • 21:00: Party at Aloha Beach with all participants

Day 3:

  • 08:00 – 09:00: Breakfast
  • 09:00 – 16:00: Boat excursion (20€ per person)
  • 17:30 – 18:30: Dinner at the hotel
  • 19:30 – Free Time

Day 4:

  • 09:00 – 10:00: Breakfast
  • 11:00 – 17:00: Free time (beach or optional visit to Meteori)
  • 19:30: Festival Evening in Paralia Square

Day 5:

  • 08:00 – 10:00: Breakfast
  • 10:30: Departure of participants

Optional Extra Days (If you stay longer):

Day 5:

  • 09:00 – 10:00: Breakfast
  • 10:30 – 14:00: Free time or visit Katerini
  • 19:00 – 20:00: Dinner at the hotel
  • 20:30 – Free time

Day 6:

  • 08:00 – 10:00: Breakfast
  • 10:30: Departure

  • Discover Greece’s highest mountain, a place of myth and exceptional biodiversity, visiting monasteries and walking through the nation’s first National Park.

POZAR – EDESSA WATERFALLS:

  • Relax in natural thermal pools amidst a verdant gorge and experience the stunning beauty of the Edessa waterfalls.

PIRATE CRUISE:

  • Enjoy a memorable day cruise on the Aegean Sea, visiting beautiful beaches and taking in the scenic views of the Pieria coastline.

SKIATHOS ISLAND:

  • Visit the picturesque island of Skiathos, strolling through its charming old port town and seeing one of Greece’s finest awarded beaches, Koukounaries.
