Participation Info

We warmly invite folk ensembles, choral groups, majorette teams, and brass bands, including children, youth, and adult groups, to participate in the XXI International Music & Dance Festival “Paralia Festival Days”. The festival aims to present the cultural traditions of different countries and provides opportunities for participants to establish friendships and showcase their cultures through dance and music. This is a non-competitive event featuring both traditional and modern performances.

General Rules:

  • Participation is open to children and youth folklore dance groups, modern dance groups, vocal groups, instrumental groups, and soloists, as well as groups from other artistic styles.
  • Only three groups from each country may participate.
  • Each group should consist of a maximum of 50 members, including dancers, managers, and musicians.
  • Each ensemble must prepare at least two folk dances, totaling 15 minutes, accompanied by an orchestra or USB. Choral groups should prepare a free program of approximately 15 minutes.
  • Performances will take place in the evening, allowing time for sightseeing during the day.
  • Groups are required to send a short CV and photos, bring their national flag, and arrange their own transportation for arrival and departure.

Accommodation Info

Participants will be accommodated in various hotels and apartments, including Ifigenia, To Limani, Katerina, London, Phenix, Despina, and Rainbow Resort.

Participation Fees:

  • €129 for 3 HB (4 days/3 nights with 2 meals per day).
  • €155 for 4 HB (5 days/4 nights with 2 meals per day).
  • €189 for 5 HB (6 days/5 nights with 2 meals per day).
  • All double and single rooms are available upon request. Multiple-bed accommodations are assigned based on availability.
  • additional double rooms available at 12 EUR per person/day
  • additional single rooms available at 35 EUR per person/day

Included in the fees:

  • Accommodation with 2 meals per day (breakfast and dinner).
  • For every 24 dancers, one participant stays free.
  • Souvenirs and gifts for each group.
  • Certificates of attendance.
  • Welcome reception for leaders (with drinks).
  • Advertising of the festival through social media, newsletters, and posters.
  • Free Parking

Additional Information:

  • Special price for extending stay: €39 per day per person HB.
  • Tourist tax: €2 per person per day (additional payment).
  • Drivers and leaders will be accommodated in two double rooms.

Insurance:

Each group is responsible for personal liability and health insurance. First aid and medical services will be available but must be covered by the group.

Transportation: The festival will organize the transport for the groups coming by plane by picking them up from Thessaloniki  airport, during the festival days and back to the same  airport. (payed additional)

Program Info

Day 1:

  • 13:00: Arrival in Paralia, hotel accommodation, and free beach time.
  • 18:00 – 19:00: Dinner at the hotel.
  • 21:00: Welcome reception with group leaders.

Day 2:

  • 07:00 – 08:30: Breakfast
  • 11:00 – 16:00: Boat excursion
  • 18:00 – 19:00: Dinner at the hotel
  • 21:00: Welcome party at Aloha beach (4 July)

Day 3:

  • 07:00 – 08:30: Breakfast.
  • 11:00 – 16:00: Boat excursion or visits to Meteora or Thessaloniki.
  • 18:00 – 19:00: Dinner at the hotel.
  • 19:30 – 23:00: Festival evening on the square in Paralia or Olympic (certificate presentation and gift exchange) (5 July)

Day 4:

  • 09:00 – 10:00: Breakfast.
  • 11:00 – 17:00: Beach time or visit Meteora.
  • 21:00: Free time in Paralia.

Day 5:

  • 09:00 – 11:00: Breakfast.
  • 11:30: Departure of participants.

Optional Extension (Days 5-6):

  • Day 5: Free time or visit Katerini; dinner at the hotel;
  • Day 6: Breakfast and departure.

PIRATE CRUISE:

  • Enjoy a memorable day cruise on the Aegean Sea, visiting beautiful beaches and taking in the scenic views of the Pieria coastline.

SKIATHOS ISLAND:

  • Visit the picturesque island of Skiathos, strolling through its charming old port town and seeing one of Greece’s finest awarded beaches, Koukounaries.
