Participation Information

With pleasure, we INVITE folk ensembles, choral groups, majorette teams, brass bands, and other performing groups (children, youth, and adults) to participate in the XXI International Music & Dance Festival “Under the Sky of Olimp” from July 14 to 19, 2026, in Paralia – Olympic, Katerini, Greece.
The festival aims to present the cultural traditions of different countries and provides an opportunity for participants to establish friendships and showcase their cultures through dance and music. The festival is open to folk and choir ensembles, orchestras, and majorettes, regardless of the members’ gender and age.

The intention of our invitation  and the Festival light motive is to present the cultural tradition of different countries and to provide an opportunity for the members of groups to get together, to establish friendships and culture presentation trough dance and music.The idea of the Festival is to bring the music closer to the people and to present the music on the streets and the squares. 

General rules :

  • is a non-competitive sample of traditional and modern dances and music performed by groups.
  • On the festival may participate children and youth folklore dance groups, modern dance groups, vocal groups, instrumental groups and soloists, as well as groups and performers from other art styles.
  • The number of participants are limited (only 3  groups from each country),
  • Each group should consist of most 50 members including dancers, managers and musicians,
  • Ensemble should have prepared at least 2 folk dances, total program of 15 -20 minutes each with orchestra or USB.
  • For choral groups should prepare free program about 15 minutes
  • The performances will be in the evening hours so you can plan the day ahead and use it for visiting the historical part of the city and  excursions.

  • Groups should have there own transport for arrival and departure,

Accommodation Information

Participants will be accommodated in hotels and apartments located on the beach, such as Yakhintos, Katerina, Xenia Zeus, Ifigenia, Despina, London, and Phenix, in full capacity and multiple rooms with private toilets.
Pricing:

  • 144 euros per person: half-board (HB) meals for 4 days/3 nights.
  • 164 euros per person: half-board (HB) meals for 5 days/4 nights.
  • 199 euros per person: half-board (HB) meals for 6 days/5 nights.
  • All double and single rooms are available upon request. Multiple-bed accommodations are assigned based on availability.
  • additional double rooms available at 12 EUR per person/day
  • additional single rooms available at 40 EUR per person/day

For drivers and leaders, there will be two double rooms provided.

Festival Organizers Provide:

  • One free spot for every 24 dancers.
  • Souvenirs and gifts for each group.
  • Certificates for attendance.
  • A welcome reception for leaders (with drinks).
  • Advertising of the festival through social media, newsletters, and posters.
  • Parking

Extended Stay Information

  • You can continue your stay in Paralia. Price will be 40 Euro per day per person HB – price is special for the participants in festivals that we can provide.

Insurance: Personal responsibility and health insurance are required. Medical services will be available and must be covered by the group.

Transportation: The festival will organize the transport for the groups coming by plane by picking them up from Thessaloniki  airport, during the festival days and back to the same  airport. (payed additional)

Program Information

Day 1:

  • 13:00: Arrival in Paralia, hotel accommodation, and free time (beach time).
  • 18:00 – 19:00: Dinner in the hotel.
  • 21:00: Welcome reception with group leaders.

Day 2:

  • 07:00 – 08:30: Breakfast.
  • 11:00 – 16:00: Boat excursion in the Thermaikos Gulf (20 euros per person).
  • 18:00 – 19:00: Dinner in the hotel.
  • 21:00: Welcome party with all participants at Aloha beach. (15 July)

Day 3:

  • 07:00 – 08:30: Breakfast.
  • 11:00 – 16:00: Optional boat excursion or visiting Meteora or Thessaloniki.
  • 18:00 – 19:00: Dinner in the hotel.
  • 19:30 – 23:00: Festival evening on the square in Paralia or Olympic (certificate distribution and exchange of presents on stage). (16 July)

Day 4:

  • 09:00 – 10:00: Breakfast.
  • 11:00 – 17:00: Beach time or visiting Meteora.
  • 21:00: Free time in Paralia.

Day 5:

  • 09:00 – 11:00: Breakfast.
  • 11:30: Departure of participants.

Optional Extra Days:

Day 5 (continued):

  • 09:00 – 10:00: Breakfast.
  • 10:30 – 14:00: Visiting Katerini or free time on the beach.
  • 19:00 – 20:00: Dinner in the hotel.
  • 21:00: Second festival evening.

Day 6:

  • 08:00 – 09:00: Breakfast.
  • 09:00 – 14:00: Departure.

METEORA:

  • Discover Greece’s highest mountain, a place of myth and exceptional biodiversity, visiting monasteries and walking through the nation’s first National Park.

POZAR – EDESSA WATERFALLS:

  • Relax in natural thermal pools amidst a verdant gorge and experience the stunning beauty of the Edessa waterfalls.

PIRATE CRUISE:

  • Enjoy a memorable day cruise on the Aegean Sea, visiting beautiful beaches and taking in the scenic views of the Pieria coastline.

SKIATHOS ISLAND:

  • Visit the picturesque island of Skiathos, strolling through its charming old port town and seeing one of Greece’s finest awarded beaches, Koukounaries.
